Color Samples

Benjamin Moore® Color Samples allow you to "try on" a paint color before you commit to the time and expense of painting an entire room. At Aboff's Paints, you can order Benjamin Moore paint color samples to see what the color looks like in person.

What Is the Difference Between a Paint Sample and a Paint Chip?

A paint sample is a small container of liquid paint. You can use it to paint on your walls giving you the most accurate sense of what the room would look like if it were painted in that color.

Aboff's Paints carries Benjamin Moore Aura® color samples. When you order a color sample, you will receive a 16-ounce can of the paint of your choice, which is enough to cover two 4' x 4' areas with two coats of paint. With this sizable amount of paint, you can simultaneously try out multiple colors and paint test swatches on different walls to see how the color looks in various lighting conditions.

A paint chip is a rectangular card with the color of different paints printed on it. Paint chips are ideal for getting an idea of what colors you like and which might look best in your rooms.

Ordering paint chips is an excellent first step to consider colors before putting any paint on your walls. At Aboff's Paints, we offer free Benjamin Moore paint chips to help you make your decision. To receive your free chips, complete our online order form with your information and color choices, and we will mail the chips to you.

Why Order Color Samples?

Paint colors may look different online, so it is a good idea to test out samples before you invest in gallons of paint. Specific factors like room lighting and wall texture affect how the color looks on your walls. When you use Benjamin Moore paint swatch samples, you can live with the paint for a few days to make sure it is the right fit.

We recommend waiting at least 24 hours before you make a final decision. During this time, your paint will have the chance to dry. Dried paint has a different sheen than wet paint, so you want to make sure you are happy with it once it is fully dried. Waiting also gives you the chance to see how the color looks at different times of day as lighting conditions change.

When you try Benjamin Moore paint color samples before you buy the paint, you can make a decision that you will be happy with for many years to come.
